Yiraheerai,
Just one thing, did you know Polyamory is wrong?
Poly is a Greek prefix,
Amore is a Latin root.
It should be Polyphilia or Multiamory.

I learned this recently, actually. I couldn't remember the correct phrasing and I wasn't sure how many people would get it.weisbm wrote:Yiraheerai,

I don't even have enough linguistical knowledge to know if it really matters. Aren't there a lot of English words that have different prefix and root words in them?

Re: Whatever Kind of Feminine View You Need
We're talking about a language that's the product of dozens of various languages and dialects getting melted together. And that's not counting the various invasions, occupations, so on and so forth, or how the British Empire spread like moss on an old tree, assimilating parts of the languages of the peoples it didn't destroy.

Re: Whatever Kind of Feminine View You Need
Well a lot of the what we call English is as a result of the British Isles being invaded by other nations, Normans, Saxons, Vikings ect ect.
And on a side note, as a Brit I am sick to the back teeth of feeling I have to apologise for the actions of my countrymen during that time. So I'm not going to. You would have to make the Germans, Belgian, French, Dutch, Italians, Ottaman, Chinese, Japanese Greeks ect ect apologise for their Empires as well. And don't lets get started on the Mongols and the Hun.
