Can he actually eat mice? Wouldn't that trigger his protein intolerance?

He's a cat. He'll try, intolerance be damned.

He likes mice.
It makes him a jolly good fellow.
He likes mice.
It helps him unwind and sometimes it makes him feel mellow.
(Makes him feel mellow)

LOL- we did a photoshoot and he jumped in and started being himself!
no prompting needed for Mr Poo!
and no he has never seen a mouse- the song is from a beloved book I obsessed over as a tween...
wonder who will guess which book it's from? :-B

Chasing and catching is instinct, but a mother cat has to teach her kittens first that small animals are food (by catching and killing them and brining them back to the kittens), and then how to kill them (by brining them back alive). If Pangur is like most indoor cats, he would treat a mouse as a toy. When it ran he would chase it and catch it, then let it go and do it all again. Eventually it would get away or it would "break". Once it stopped moving he would ignore it.

And the song is from a Kliban cartoon, but I don't remember which book it was in. My best guess would be either Never Eat Anything Bigger Than Your Head or Whack Your Porcupine, but the key word there is "guess".
