Luna Vol. 8 only available for a few Kindle devices?

Dear Seven Seas,
Why is Luna Vol. 8 only available for a few Kindle devices, while the rest are available for all Kindle devices? Was there some licensing mix-up? Some kind of software trouble? What's going on?

Never mind. When you buy it for Kindle Cloud Reader, open your iPhone Kindle app. You'll see the book and be able to download it. However, this trick doesn't work on Kindle for PC.

When we first began releasing our books on the Kindle, it was under a different coding standard (very stripped down html saved as a mobi file with too much image compression). Amazon has since developed a code standard called "KF8," which is what our recent books have all been coded at to ensure an enjoyable reading experience. The downside is that older Kindles (like the ones with the full keyboard buttons) don't support the new "KF8" coded releases.
