Avalon Message Board?

Post by ScarletBird »

Hi Seven Seas,

First, I'd like to thank you for picking up the Avalon series! I've been a fan of it for a long time, am buying all the new editions, and am looking forward to reading the new trilogy and second manga series too. Do you have a plan of when you'll release these new books?

I understand why you don't have an Avalon board on this forum alongside your other titles (different target demographics, etc.). Are you considering making an Avalon-only board, separate from this one and maybe adjacent to avalonmagic.com? I would love it if fans had an official and centralized place to discuss the series.

Thank you!

Avalon: Web of Magic novel 1-11 are all out now. Novel 12 "Full Circle" comes out in March.

The first two books of the manga spin-off "Avalon: The Warlock Diaries" are out now with book 3 coming out in April. (I think that's what you're referring to when you said "second manga series" as there is really only just the one manga split across three volumes.)

As for "Avalon: Shadow Warrior," you'll just have to stay tuned to AvalonMagic.com for the latest news.

Since the target age group for Avalon is young people aged 8-12, there's just too much liability in running a public forum aimed at that age group.

I remember reading something where Rachel Roberts mentioned a second manga series, but I guess I must've misread it.

The forum thing makes sense, with COPPA, parents, and all that.

Thanks!

I'll post here so we don't get to many threads concerning avalon.

Is the series a "light novel" series or a "standard novel"?
And for that matter, if it is a light novel, does it have the same format as shinigami?

Avalon: Web of Magic is considered juvenile fiction and is found in the kid's part of a bookstore along with series like Artemis Fowl and Warriors. Avalon's trim size is that of a standard kid's paperback (5 1/4" x 7 5/8"), so it's roughly the same size as your average manga. The Avalon novels also have a number of illustrations scattered throughout the books as well.

@Lord Styphon's post.

Heh. Warriors as in the cat book... not the cult 1979 movie.
