Re: Sports Lounge.
I know people here likely don't care, but in the *deep breath* European Women's Football Cup, Germany just defeated Austria 2:0 in the quarter finals.
I'm just mentioning this because they've now gone all four games without any countergoal!
All games went X:0 for Germany, that's darn impressive...
In less nice news, legendary German footballer Uwe Seeler missed the game.
He died earlier today. At least he lived to 85.

Well, if the US wants to advance past the group stage it looks like they need to win vs. Iran. ETA: Well, the US made it out of groups. Now they have to take on The Netherlands. Won't that be special.

The Great Satan must have bribed the referees!
Germany still has to win against Costa Rica to move on. Drubbed by Japan.

Well, it has been an awesome year for the Kraken. They went from last year's cellar dwellers to this year not only holding second in their division for a good portion of the year but being briefly number one. Now in their second year they've not only made to play-offs but have taken the reigning champs to the brink of elimination in the first round. Damn good year all around. Go Krakens!
