We never got any explanations as to what the hell was going on, why Steph had to be the matriarch of the moth people, why the lizard people hated them so much, what the deal was with the Mothmen in general and we never got any resolution on the conflict with Marcy.
The bones of a good story where there though, you guys just didn't have the chance to put any meat on it. The alien infiltrators preying on cryptids was an interesting idea that could've led to a kick-ass Magic vs Science thing. But since you had to pander to a shitty audience to make ends meet, that never went anywhere. That's not on you though, it's the fault of the shitty people whose attention you need so you can keep a roof over your heads.
So, yeah. Better luck next time. Small piece of advice for the next one though, don't write any more stories about unpleasant people doing unpleasant things and getting away with it because plot reasons. The harem anime thing is played out and just not fun any more. You had the right idea with Paranormal Mystery Squad. Try to keep going in that direction.
In other words: don't write stories that reflect reality. Yeah, this is fiction, but let's be honest here: the idea that the good side wins all the time is flawed. No one is perfect, no one is always in the right, and never does the story end with the bad guy beaten. We all like to imagine the righteous hero defeating the evil puppeteer, but once in a while it's okay for fiction to reflect reality. Otherwise, I'd call bulls**t every time I see a Disney movie...and I do nonetheless so that point is null and void.don't write any more stories about unpleasant people doing unpleasant things and getting away with it because plot reasons
