Its the time of year again where Bear-mods muses need a rest and you guys get to do some work... Its the:

Contest for The Next Contest!

Thats right, design your own contest for the forum!

You've pretty much got free reign to do what you like here in choosing a contest theme, its rules, entry requirements or limitations, showing what an entry should look like etc. So be creative and have fun with your entry.

In addition to the usual Colour and Title and/or winners badge if you win, the winning entry WILL becomes next months contest!

There are a few rules and guidelines though:

1. Only 1 entry per person.
2. Remember its a contest for the forum.
3. Try and make it open to the most number of people. Some people don't have micro-phones, video cameras, singing/dancing/talent ability etc... so try not to discriminate.
4. Contests on the themes of previous/currently established contests are not valid entries.

Otherwise, you've got free reign, just remember it has to be for the forum and runable from the forum. Appart from that the usual things apply such as keeping to the 16+ rating and the Guidelines of the GD forum.

Entry period will run until the 28th. After which voting will take place until the 31st.

Remember, the prize is your entry will become next months contest!

All you need to enter this contest is a bit of writing ability, some time, and some knowledge of one of the three comics hosted here on the Forum: Menage à 3, Eerie Cuties and School Bites.

The topic of the contest is to write a little fan fiction within the world of the comics (even crossovers are allowed), which has the specific theme of a partnership between two characters - no matter how unlikely.

Rules? Not too many...

- It's about the comics, people. While crossovers between the three comics are allowed, to not add non-comic characters, and especially do not ship forumites.
- Don't make it too long, people will need time to read it. Try to keep it under 2000 words.
- Since some people here seem to be disturbed by it, if you write an EC fanfic, keep it reasonably platonic. The protagonists of Ma3 and also SB are grown-ups, so anything goes, though maybe not make it too hardcore - R-rating of this forum and all.

The WHAT IF Contest!

The object of this contest is just like the comic book...pick any key moment in any of the strips--SB, EC or Ma3--and write a short essay detailing the answer to a "what if?" question. For example:

Let's say you picked this strip where Gary tells a (unknown to him) naked Didi that he isn't drawing any art that night. You then pose the question:

WHAT IF GARY DREW A NAKED DIDI?

You would then write about whatever hijinks would ensue. Or maybe this strip and ask:

WHAT IF DIDI FELL FOR ZII?

The idea is how would the divergence affect the characters, what would have changed because of this choice at the key juncture.

Simple Rules:
- Keep the hijinks appropriate to the comic; not too raunchy.
- Do not add characters that do not already exist in the comic, and no forumites.
- Keep it brief; 500 words or less.
- Be creative! Don't just write "Gary headsplorts" or "Zii is blissful forever," have some fun with this!

The Pixie Trix Comix Re-Script Contest!

With this contest, you take any comic from the archives of Pixie Trix... be it Ma3, Eerie Cuties, or School Bites... and you re-write the lines for each character into a completely different take on what was actually happening in the scene.

For example, take this classic scene from a vintage Ma3.

Then, remove the text.

Finally, add your own lines for each character!

Entries will be judged based on originality & humor (not neatness - we understand that many forumites have very basic paint programs, and it's only fair that they have as good a chance as everyone else.) Keep in mind the appropriate rating of each comic being sampled - Ma3 and School Bites deals with mostly adults, but Eerie Cuties has younger teens so keep content appropriate to their cast. And, of course, have fun!

The Pixie Trix Origami Honor Contest!

Make origami "in honor of" one's own self, one of the 3 forums comics or a forum member. With a picture of it or them in your presence [like in your hand] that shows proof that you yourself have made it.

the net is full of origami ideas and they're easy to do follow and make [takes a bit of experimentation but its nothing impossible :3]

We could have a lot of fun with the different "in honor of.." productions :3.
