Nice to see that LaRose considers her sister's presence a deterrent to male companionship, rather than a tool to acquire it...
Well, it may not be her presence in the apatment but rather in her bedroom.
Though, we don't know much about her yet. Though, often a meganeko who dresses like that usually come in two flavors: way too uptight, ot outwardly conservative but with a really wildside.
Edit: you'll need some other way to condescend Amber than refering to her by her last name now. You could have meant either Amber or Ruby that way.

Pointless arguing is one of the three pillars upon which the Internet is built. The other two are of course cat pictures and porn.
Error of Logic wrote:Okay. o_o I didn't see that development coming. This... could be interesting, and of course I don't mind a girl like Ruby on the cast - yet. Let's see what she's like.
If it happens you don't like her how will we know which Sister you are refering to? Red LaRose and Yellow LaRose?
Grand Low Maker of Mischief, Claw of Chaos, Fang of Anarchy
politics: n. pl. from the Grk polis, meaning many, and the OE ticia, meaning blood sucking insects.
Hmm! That's actually quite clever! Not only do the two sisters have gem names, when combining their birth names with their family names, you get different species of rose! Nice.
I wonder whether it's symbolic... Red roses for love, yellow roses for... what was it again?

And, of course, Giz and Dave are complete slaves to pointless manga conventions, and never screw with fanboy heads by violating those clichés in any way.

Never underestimate the dedication of a geek who wants to sneer at an imaginary person. Though I'm still waiting for some berk to decide that they don't like Chanelle, so we start getting forum references to "Numberfine".
Talking of surnames, though; "Amber LaRose" sounds like the sort of name that a sane parent might give a child, but "Ruby LaRose"? The poor girl sounds like a '50s burlesque dancer. If she does turn out to be the uptight type (despite that miniskirt), I'll assume it was a reaction.

Well, she is dedicated to 'joy'. Getting it, sharing it. And despite her best efforts, she hasn't gotten herself a steady boyfriend yet, so you might say she's been 'friendzoned', right? Symbolically accurate.
Now Ruby just needs to get into a full-on romantic relationship, and the symbolism is completed. ... And her sister will go green-eyed with jealousy.
By the way, TV Tropes says that "mega neko" is a giant cat, while "meganekko" is the glasses girl stereotype. I won't link any of that, because I'm feeling kind this morning.
Anyway - if Ruby turns out to be reserved enough to throw a serious spanner in the works of Amber's social life, or just a lot more sheltered than her sister, this comic may end up having to walk a bit of a tightrope. There's a general assumption in the Ma3 universe that everybody gets laid, sooner or later - and even the desperate virgin character got laid a lot sooner than a lot of readers expected. Which is fine with characters who basically want to get laid; even if individual incidents turn out to be mistakes, well, put it all down to experience. But a reserved, possibly virginal character thrown into the middle of all this either is going to look like a frigid freak, or will end up being steered towards sexual relationships despite her own preferences, which could look like a kind of bullying.
But hey, it's very early days with Ruby. Whatever the glasses, jacket, and bossy attitude may suggest, the skirt length, and proven inability to prevent panty flashes, say either something different, or lousy judgement.

I've only read Ma3 and SDB so far, so I wouldn't know.
ED, MC and DC are one giant crossover.
Anyway, looks like Amber is the (hidden) black sheep of the family!
Also, Chanelle!

Yeah, Eeerie Cuties/Magick Chicks/Desperately Chloe are pathologically incapable of not crossing over, while the lead characters of SDB come straight from Ma3, and have a bit of unfinished business over there, so further crossovers are confidently expected (and have been promised). However, the two sets exist in completely different universes and styles of story, and the former three canonically exist as fiction comics within the Ma3/SDB universe, so no crossovers are expected between the two.
(EC has also had a crossover of sorts with Vampire Cheerleaders/Paranormal Mystery Squad, while characters from the old Penny and Aggie have been glimpsed in Ma3; as they have their own crossover connections to several other Web comics by other writers, this theoretically puts Ma3 in a a much larger universe of crossovers, if you really want to play that game.)
