Inspiration Thread
Figured I'd post some links to some eye candy.
This time around, got some stuff with regards to cover design. It might spark something with regards to composition and layout.
If ya find anything else, (on any topic) add to the thread.

Marvel writer Greg Rucka puts one of his scripts online.

Okay, so it isn't exactly eye candy, but I'm sure it'd a nice insight into what a pro script looks like.

Jason Aaron writes like his parents are dead:

To write like your parents are dead doesn't mean you actually wish them harm. It's just about letting go of your inhibitions. Forgoing embarrassment and plunging ahead. Not censoring yourself. Not worrying about who might read it, but just laying yourself open regardless of what others might think.
To write for yourself and yourself alone.

It's kind of bad English, but
http://animapple.blogspot.com/2011/03/p ... -kami.html
The author of TWGOK (and other manga) spent 13 years before making that hit manga. In the meantime? BROKE AND MOOCHING OFF PARENTS. As someone fresh out of college with...well...not a very good choice of degree, I can definitely relate. It gives me hope. Maybe in 13 years I'll be able to do what I love for a living (drawing manga, writing poetry) :'D .

ANNCast, April 22nd. (podcast)
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/anncast/2011-04-22
They discuss the death of Tokyopop, but also have a bit towards the end (during twitter questions) about the state of manga-influenced comics.

Ah, he's a really good guy. I've met him, he signed a copy of my peepo choo and looked over my art. Although, his response was simple. It was very perplexing. lol
