Hey. I'm still a teenager. STILL. I'm not 20 YET. I demand attention.

But yea, the "uhs" made the first poem, and the stiletto wounds and lipstick to the throat made the last one. The 'tude made the middle one. And you made them all. Ka-ching!

I don't know why I did that...
Wondering that myself as well... :?

I was somewhat wondering as well.
But thank you all for your kind reviews.
Actually, I took out both "Uhh"'s out before I handed it in for English class.
Because I changed it from an AIM conversation to an actual poem.

"If you can't do, Teach".

Its why English teachers don't know good poetry when they see it :)

Anyway.. come on people, there has to be more creative people out there then just we few!

If i put up my creative writing i might take up a complete page. I am not really into poetry but i love writing fiction and fanfiction a bit. (though my writing speed is slow (to many other hobbies (one of them is an mmo that eats time a lot.
Maybe this is better(well easier for me  )

Atm all stories are on hold due to this:

http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user%252F215210 <- and yes the genre is indeed erotic fiction (erotic fantasy to be more precise)

Ode to the Cat

Felinity, Selenity, Vivacity and Curiosity.
These be the Corners of the Cat.

Sleek and true, she sees through the aether that is your corporeal form.
And so studies your soul, to that which her desire is sated.
Such form it saunters from thee, leaving you wondering.
What within my being has been transformed?

Celestial in her being, has it really body, not only mind?
We can judge by the eyes, while else is hidden in shadow they gleam,
Boring into yours, until those but the meekest find madness in her gaze.
The starlight tells us naught of intent, defies our needs and taunts our senses.

Out from the shadow a streak of black she bolts.
A lightning flame that matches the embers withing her heart.
We know not all that which it touches, leaves not a rustle nor print.
Her energy never betrayed by bead of sweat or belabored breath, she bolts on.

She stops. What has she seen? What of this world captures her attention?
How could such mortal coils beleaguer her senses,
For that she endeavors to know, but never is it within her grasp.
The answer she shall never know, yet shall she continue, though in it her death can only be found.

Ode to the Bait

Drawn is she to the forbidden
Drawn is she by the jester
Drawn is she for our eyes
Drawn is she with pencil and word

Given to us her mind
Given to us her body
Given to us her law
Given from her, none other

Taken is her word
Taken is her time
Taken is her story
Taken is for our grace

Youth has her tongue
Age has her voice
Truth in her wrist
Lie in our hearts

She sees us
As we see her
And leads us ever on
As only could be done

If she were the bait
For what follow we she?

Looks like midgetshrimp has a fan!!

And yes, the Ode to the Cat was wonderful!!! It goes very far in coming close to the essences of cat-ness.

And I just now realized :o  :!:  :? that this is my own ode!!! Oh, dear, my brain... :|

Anyhow, it's GREAT!!! Makes me seem kind of, um, unsympathetic and unapproachable (but... but... I'm just a huggy teddy bear in need of love, right?? Right?? :? ), but as an Elder Council member...

It's power that counts!!! Mwuahahahaaaaaa!!!!

midgetshrimp wrote:Ode to He Who Shows Himself as Jupiter

The greatest of the planets...

Calm on the surface
Vicious on the surface
Storms break the surface
And bring us underneath.

His lower brethren pray...

Sand whips within
The wind stinging our minds
The noxious fumes of his flowing intellect
They keep us at bay though we yearn to share.

Follow his grace and witness the power...

His heart we cannot see
He has shown us
But his eyes see what we cannot
And so we remain blind to his sympathies.

Accept his gift of Rapture...

Better are we with
Better are we without
Within us we confuse
Yet open to him our bindings are.
Without thought
Without effort
Without want or need
He brings us from ourselves
And throws us to each other.

In his eyes, we feel his power. We feel his power. That is his power.

Actually, it's about even through your intellect and that roaring picture of you, you -are- still approachable. Just not understandable (all the time). :P

I think that's what it is. I'm making these odes up as people post things in the thread. Line for line, it's all improvised.

Well, you of course. I might have to change it though, with our ever expanding knowledge of poo-poo-face. To Ex-Bait. She'd have to post in here though. Ode to the Poo might actually be a fun one to write...

I think with the title 'Ode to Poo', some people may get the wrong idea.
