I sent that to a friend that lived in Japan quite a few times. She went to Waseda for a full year and then was a teacher's assistant as part of the JET program for a year- the year of the tsunami, actually. A few years before that, she got a degree in East Asian Studies. She said some of these are actually pretty accurate. Actually she said:
Lol some of these are right! The grocery is the same wait time. In the south (like Georgia) you may wait a lot longer, but otherwise it was the same time frame. Also I SUPER agree about vending machines. They're so amazing and super important in your life in Japan XD and they have wonderful things...
That "secret ingredient" they're talking about is often probably umami, which is yummy lol. I also still find myself eating off multiple small plates instead of one big giant one XD
