Things You Desire.
Hey, can I make threads, too? ;-;
I hope this is a good thread idea...
I was thinking, talk about things you want and even post pictures of things you want.
Material things, people, pets, the world, whatever.
If you want it, share with us about it.
I'll start, I'll start!

I'm--I'm a bit of a clothes-fanatic, too...
Which reminds me, I need to clean out my closet of the things that I don't wear anymore/don't fit me anymore.

Re: Things You Desire.
Well, a girlfriend would be neat. I haven't had a date since *cough*.
Hmm. There are some expensive rare books I'd love to get my hands on. I hope to buy some when I've got some money due to this new job.
Oh, also a house. I'd like to earn enough money to build an awesome house in the middle of nowhere, far away from everyone and everything.
Super-powers. Invisibility, the ability to change my shape, maybe flight, stuff like that.

Moving on to new lurking grounds. Have fun, folks.

I very much want a corset (it's like a constant hug from your clothing! yay!). Also magic hair, which I guess could count as a super power.

I want someone to pay me enough to keep developing WordOwl so I don't have to find a proper job instead.

Perhaps you could expand it (afetr automating it) to search online books on selected websites too. Like at the Gutenberg Project, Google books, et cetera. Basically search comics, books, anything like that.Arantor wrote:I want someone to pay me enough to keep developing WordOwl so I don't have to find a proper job instead.

Re: Things You Desire.
The big issue with doing it is that it doesn't fit into the scope of WordOwl, not without rewriting large chunks of it (again). In fact it'd be an even bigger job since I'd have to adapt a two purpose-designed databases to store books. Besides, PG and Google Books can already search books. That said I have thought about building a site in the past with pretty formatted PG books.Scaramouche wrote:Perhaps you could expand it (afetr automating it) to search online books on selected websites too. I don't think WordOwl will evolve into a business, much as I would like it to.

Re: Things You Desire.
This, but in mint please:
Yeah. Money. Lots of it. Come to think of it, scratch that Ma3 beach party, I'd buy about 100000$ worth of Magic starters and boosters from all editions I don't have yet.

I've been told I have talent. I don't believe it, and I figure that if I did have talent I wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. However I believe from what has been posted that you have talents in various areas, whether you realise it or not.Pneumonica wrote:Talent would be fun.
