Re: Fragile: Chapter 05
I can't possibly be the first one to point out the similarity with what happened in the first volume of K-On to what is happening now...

Uh... so are you fan of Macintosh or KDE?
Back-on-topic:
Well, but then Jess doesn't ask her to play a recorder either. ;)
But really, who knows? Maybe she will be better with strings. Or, more likely, keyboards.

Re: Fragile: Chapter 05
Well, despite Jess allegedly being the guitar player of the group, given what happened when she attempted to play in front of Karen, Marian can't be much worse (at least, once she's been taught how to actually hold the guitar)...
But as TBholder says above, keyboards would probably be a better bet - you can see all the notes spread in front of you, and once you've grasped the logic of the layout, it isn't too hard to start picking out tunes. After all, you don't need to blow, you don't need to remember odd finger positions that you can only see by looking at from an odd angle, and you generally start by playing one note at a time (although you can build up to chords and harmonies). However, Karen would probably be a far better instructor than Jess
If all else fails, if she can hold a rhythm she could try for percussion...

Glad to hear you are better!
You were missed! Your comics too!
Hoh boy, of course Jess thinks he's a dark, she probably likes dark, broody dangerous types who then break her heart, and then she does it again.

Sweat, blush and frantic attempts at playing the guitar. Now that's a source of sudden inspiration. Hehehehehe.
Also, amusingly adorable.

I think Jess's look in the last panel is "Oh, do shut up, you're making everything worse!"

So, did Grandma Sullivan belong to a rock and roll band in the 1960's?

Hwee-ha-ha-ha-ha. Mamo rocks!
As long as it can be used to "show the young 'uns how that's done", it's not really misspent. ;)Azrael wrote:Apparently Mamó had herself a bit of misspent youth.
