I'll have to check i out, I'm just watching stuff I own as of right now. Know if it's up streaming at any sites, like Crunchyroll?

I...just don't have the heart to continue.

I'm sorry man, I thought you might have heard of it. Narutaru is the most deliberately deceptive show there is, with cute looking characters, an opening that is so cheerful it could pass for a Saturday morning cartoon and a relatively laid back first episode...and it's quite possibly even more bleak than Elfen Lied. Trust me when I say to stick with Azumanga Daioh.

Though if you're still interested, I was able to find full episodes on anime-sub.com... :-=

More deceptive than Higurashi? Maybe I'll check it out later

Indeed. At least Higurashi let you know what you're getting into with the OP and the teaser at the start of each arc.

Though note that Narutaru isn't gory disturbing so much as psychologically twisted disturbing.

Finally finished Chobits. Ending was good, but there was way too much damned filler. Ironic, considering there's only about 24 episodes or so.

How would you say it compares to the manga? I've been thinking about checking it out, but I do hear a lot of complaints about the filler

Now that I think about it, when it comes to Anime I mostly watch action and with Manga I mostly read comedy. Otherwise, I would've made a recommendation.

But if you're looking for some humorous manga to read, I recommend Yotsuba&! and Midori Days.

If you'd read the manga already, then I would give it as pass. I mean it's really faithful and all, but given that it's pretty slow paced as it is and you already know what's going to happen, it means the plot-relevant bits will end up being pretty dull. And since the new stuff doesn't contribute much more other than situations for Hideki to get all flustered, then those parts are pretty dull as well.

I mean, don't get me wrong: I loved the manga, it's just that the anime was just more of the same.

I'm actually in the process of reading Yotsuba&!, and it's easily one of the funniest things I've read, ever

@Takerfoxx: That's pretty much what I hear; if you've read the manga, feel free to give the anime a pass

Although I did enjoy both the Fruits Basket manga and anime, even though they were very similar. I just think some parts were better when animated

The same with the Chibi Vampire manga/anime. I thoroughly enjoyed them both. The Chobits anime just didn't do it for me.

Double-post, but hey: enough time has passed.

Anyway, just started the second season of Higurashi. They've really upped the wacky hijinks before things start to go bad, but I'm not complaining. Haven't laughed like that for awhile. Also, I'm quite intrigued with the plotline so far.

Finished watching Azumanga Daioh, but before I move onto Aria, I think I need another kinda sad anime to watch... So I'm gonna rewatch Ga-Rei Zero
