I was going to take this up entirely by PM because I am enraged about it, but a recent PM from somebody else has told me that at least part of this issue needs to be taken up in public forum. So, to make it clear: I am not a guy.

I'm also very sorry, since posting this might detract from other people's enjoyment of the contest. That is certainly not my intention.
Further affiant sayeth not.

While I have no idea what has been going on here, what do you suggest?? Withdraw?

I think many constests will be split along the guy/girl line. If you state that you are neither, then it seems you will not be able to enter in most contests.

From your pictures and other posts, I would say you are biologically male (you even made reference to a beard of some sort). At least in that sense, it makes more sense to place you here than with the girls. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think you can perpetrate cleavage shots. ;)

It's a matter of identity and propriety. It has been made plain that Pneu doesn't identify by gender (see last contest), and though it isn't meant so, the inclusion is disrespectful. I thought the contest was all inclusive, myself, not split by gender. I don't remember it being discussed as a two sided contest (though in this I could be wrong).

It's difficult to find a split that works with contests when If for instance, it had been random blocks and Don had been placed in with the girls, he'd be complaining that there was no way he could compete with clevage and cuteness. I don't want to exclude anyone from the contests, and its too late now to remove anyone as it would seriously mess up the votes already placed.

Well, since it's too late for this contest to be changed, perhaps we can figure out a better way to do it in the future, so that everyone is happy. That way no-one feels left out or incorrectly identified.

Even from a logistical point of view, the contests may be better off with only one winner. So randomly allotted heats and then a final, for instance...or just one giant contest of awesomeness with a single allotted winner?

sounds like a really awesome idea to me but would be bloody stressing and time consuming for the mods.

I like this idea. This contest was, afterall, about ebilness, which is not defined by gender. In the future, we'd have to split up the cutest guy/girl contest, but maybe not the rest :)

The contest was never stated as being gender split, it had no reason to be gender split, and the rules were set up to make it "not about cuteness". It was entirely set up as a single contest with no warning to the contrary.

I've said in PM, and I'm now saying it publically - I've twice had to correct people who've apologized to me for not knowing I was a guy. I want my name off this fucking list. It assaults me to have my name on the list, as much as it would any of you if you were called the wrong gender.

EDIT: My biological sex has nothing to do with any of you, and none of you have the right to declare my gender for me. It's the upmost arrogance for you to have done it, and even worse that you continue to do it. This comment addressed to more than one person on this forum, but hardly to all.

Pneu, while I respect your choice and what you say... I am curious how you deal with this on an everyday basis. People here aren't trying to force you into something one way or another, it's just a means of grouping. This seems to bother you, but I have yet to see on any form I fill out "male/female/other/undeclared" when asked about a sex. I guess the jist of this is I don't see why you are taking it personally when it's clearly not meant as a personal attack or definition of you, just a way to break up a contest that's only supposed to be in fun.

Honestly I had no delusions of winning this because of the power of cleavage and but since it's just about fun and frolick with friends, I really didn't care. I guess I'm just trying to get at this, no one here is trying to force you to be anything you aren't just because of a title on thread, and since this is something I'm sure you have to deal with every day in life, I don't understand why something that is meant to be completely in fun is getting you so worked up...

And again, please understand I respect your choices and what you want, I'm just trying to understand why it's such a major thing, that is all.

Okay, so I've removed Pneu's name and entery, but becuase of this, this has screwed up the poll and now everyone has to recast their votes.

Quite frankly I think Pneu withdrawing, and publiccally complaining before PMing me privately is a complete over reaction. This contest was meant for fun and not meant to be taken so seriously. When Pneu dresses as a guy, is biologically a guy, acts like a guy and doesn't correct anyone who addresses him as a guy, how can he complain when he's labeled himself as such despite claiming to be genderless?

I placed Pneu in this bracket for two reasons. Firstly: All the guys were complaining about having to compete against the girls and clevage, meaning a gender split was the most fair on the multiple male enterants. I'm pretty much sure from previous actions that Pneu would have taken more offence at being placed in with the female enterants, which is why he was placed here. Secondly, I thought Pneu would have had much more chance of winning in the male group. A fact that was held true by him being in second place behind Don before being removed.

This contest was meant as fun, for fun. I appologise to Pneu, being the only one offended by this, a contest with no easier, fairer split. And I also appologise to everyone who now has to recast their votes due to the poll having to be remade due to this.
