Cranberry juice, pineapple juice, pomegranate juice... there are a lot of tasty juices to get that funk out of your spunk.

Pineapple juice is also good for getting out of a funk in general. To avoid putting me on anti-depressants that I didn't want to go on, my doctor told me I should drink more citrus juices...I still say it's one of the things that conspired to stop me from killing myself in 2003.

I'm addicted to this stuff...

Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer. I got my pal Zeus hooked on it, and apparently he brought some down and let his little sister Gina try some and she adored it too. It tastes like a smooth root beer with a slight cherry flavor. OOOoooohhh, I miss this so much. Zeus and I have actually looked into trying to order and ship this stuff to Tampa - but we would nearly pay as much in shipping as we would to purchase the soda.

Back when I could actually drink soda, this was my poison:

All the sugar and twice the caffine. @-) BANZAI!! :p

As for the alchoholic side I quite like a porter or a stout. The darker the better, that lovely black liquidation with the froth on the top. =p~

Mmmn... My favorite beer, too. :D

Crazy related story -- I once went on a cruise where I brought along a couple of bottles of this to make birch beer floats (*much* better than root beer floats...), and I *know* I bought the stuff at a supermarket somewhere in Ft. Myers. But I can no longer remember which supermarket, and all my attempts to hunt for it since have failed miserably. I suspect it was a Kash n'Karry which is now a Sweetbay, and thus no longer carries it, but I can't be sure. Sad. Makes me tempted to drive down instead of fly down for the next cruise I'll go on, just so I can carry a few bottles of this stuff with me. :D

Good thing that stuff is nowhere near me if it tastes like Root Beer with a little cherry flavor. Normally I rarely drink any soda (usually saved for when I drink) but if someone buys me a case of Root Beer I go through it all really fast.

I HAD MOUNTAIN DEW TODAY ZOMG!!!!!!!!!! =p~ =p~ =p~ 8-} (Including Code Red!! *DROOLZORZ!!!*)

Root beer... Is REALLY weird stuff. I think Europeans are genetically unfit to appreciate it at all, to them it tastes like medicine or so... I think it's ok but would not guzzle it.

Which reminds me of...

KAOPECTATE (spelling?) !!!!

Anyone else LOVED that stuff as a kid???

I assume they put something like strawberry flavor in it. :P But it was actually, at least with me, a roaring success in the attempt to make medicine nommable for kids. :-bd

The taste of Pepto never really bothered me. Then again I very rarely need to use it. Several people I know do dislike the taste/texture of it though. Never heard of it turning someone's tongue black however, that's rather odd.

You know, now that you mention it, there was a while where I started eating TUMS like candy

I got over it quick, for those who might be a bit worried. Never was a problem.

Not to reveal a giant gap in my general knowledge... But what exactly is Pepto-Bismal? I could Wiki it, but that would mean switching to another web window on my iPod.

It's a chalky, disgusting, pink medication for upset stomach and other symptoms including, nausea, heartburn, diarrhea, and indigestion.

(Though not nearly as disgusting as Kaopectate.) :ymsick:
